I wanted to share some of my favorite baby products that I find myself loving & using daily! It's been 10 years since my first baby so it's fun to see all the new things that come out each baby I have.

#1. Brazil's best kept secret- Natura Mamãe e Bebê perfume. You can get it on Amazon and it smells like a dreeeeam! I have used this with all my babies cheirosos!

#2. The Woombie- this zippy swaddler is made of a stretchy jersey knit so baby can wiggle his arms up if he wants to but keeps him nice and snug. I have loved this for nighttime with a newborn.

#3. The Joonie- My own sister invented this! So you may think I'm biased (of course I am!) but it really is the car seat cover of my dreams! It keeps the wind and rain and little hands out and I constantly find myself thinking how much I love it! Thanks sista! Check it out @gojoonie

#4 White noise app- we use this at night with Lily on an ocean sound and it cuts out the noise from what's going on in our little house. Also, Max loves the rain sound and it calms him down and keeps him calm & sleeping at night. I love how it's on my phone so it's always close.

#5. Nose Frida- I was a bit skeptical about sucking my kid's snot out through a tube but my friend gave me this and it is seriously the best! Way better suction than the blue bulb and I use it for my toddler too!

#6. Undercover Mama nursing top- this has become a favorite part of my wardrobe because every 3 hours no matter where I am I need to be able to nurse! This top hooks to my nursing bra so everything stays in place when I lift up the top layer of the shirt. Lol. Thank goodness for nursing friendly clothes! @undercover_mama

Let's face it, sometimes you don't want to haul around your big stroller.  Or maybe you don't have room in your trunk for you regular stroller.  Or maybe your baby is turning into a toddler and you don't need the travel system anymore.  No matter the reason, sometimes you need a really great umbrella stroller.  Here are our 4 favorites for 2017:

This has one of the coolest features I've ever seen in an umbrella stroller.  Baby can face you or face the world!   Plus it has a six-position recline which means it can definitely be a napping stroller.  The canopy is quite large which helps protect baby from the sun.  It handles smoothly and is one of the best umbrella style strollers out there that can also accommodate an infant.

This is a great lightweight stroller with a one-handed fold.  What makes this one awesome is that it also accepts graco carseats!  GENIUS!  It can also accommodate a child up to 50 pounds so you can still get a lot of use out of it.

This is the most cost conscious our favorites, but it's still pretty great.   It has a 4-position recline with a 5 point safety harness, anti-shock front wheels and lockable rear wheels, and an adjustable and removable canopy with flip out sun visor

This umbrella stroller is amazing!  It's only 7.5 pounds!  It has ergonomic, anti-microbial handles, a large-ish sunshade, a peekaboo window, a linked braking system, a large basket, a rain cover and four-wheel suspension.  It's a little pricey, but I've been a fan of the Maclaren umbrella strollers for a long time and this one doesn't disappoint.

There are a million diaper bag choices out there, but it seems that every year they get better and better.  Here's our top three favorites:

We are loving this new bag from PPB.  The outside is glazed cotton canvas which makes it super easy to clean.  It has coordinating packing pods called pixels and dividers called caddys that can help keep you super organized.  It is one of the most customizable bags we've seen!  And we love the fact that it can be a tote or a backpack.

This is a beautiful bag.  You can definitely carry this one even when you're out of the diaper bag stage.  It comes in a variety of stunning colors and has 10 pockets!  One of the best features is the fact that it opens super wide so you can easily spot anything you're looking for.  It can also be carried as a tote of backpack.

This is our favorite cost conscious bag!  It's a great mid-sized bag with lots of compartments and it's easy to clean which are our 2 most important features.  And it comes with complimentary stroller straps and a matching folding changing pad.

Have you read our first post on Binge Worthy Shows to Watch While Breastfeeding?  The way we see it, new babies nurse around 8 times in a 24 hour period at 20-40 minutes per time which definitely gives you some time to binge watch.   Here's a a few more of our favorites:

1- The Mindy Project

Mindy Lahiri (Mindy Kaling) is a 30-something OB/GYN, working and living in New York City. In season four, Mindy finds herself struggling to balance life as a working mom.  It's a funny, lighthearted, it's okay if you don't totally pay attention kind of show.

2- Jane the Virgin
After being accidentally artificially inseminated with her boss’s specimen, this show takes some crazy, sometimes violent, awkward and hilarious turns.

3- Call The Midwife
This might seem a little too close to home after having just given birth, but there’s something to be said for being it being relatable.  Plus, you'll be grateful for some of the more modern conveniences and medical advances.  And I love a good period drama.

4- House Hunters International
Tell me I'm not the only one who has been sucked into an HGTV marathon.  These episodes are like 22 minutes so if your baby nurses extra long like mine did, you can get in a few episodes each time.  I mean, look at all you can accomplish while nursing!

5- Freaks and Geeks
You guys, this is an all-star cast including baby Seth Rogan, baby Jason Segal, baby James Franco, and baby Busy Phillips.  Tragically it's only one season but it's a good story line and definitely worth the binge.

Hi Undercover Mamas! We are delighted to be here with you lovely ladies. Mom's Stuff is a small company run by a mother (Lee Bennion) and daughter (that's me! Zina) and we love providing an all natural product to help meet the needs of moms, dads, babies, kids and animals alike! Lee began making her original product, All Purpose Piñon Salve, over 20 years ago to meet the needs of our family. She is a painter and avid horsewoman and loves the outdoors. Her husband is a potter and river guide and they both suffered from cracked hands and feet and rough skin. Lee was purchasing a salve at a local health food store, but it didn't quite do everything she wanted it to. She started to experiment with making her own salve and over five years, through lots of research and testing, came up with the perfect formula. The result was a product that moisturizes, nourishes, and protects skin from dry climate, water and sun exposure, and more.

Slowly, friends and family started pressuring her to sell the salve and a business was born. As she started selling the salve, customers began writing in about all the different ways they used the salve and how it helped.

People reported it helped soothe eczema, psoriasis, mystery rashes, bug bites and more.

The salve is made from a unique blend of all-natural ingredients each chosen for specific purposes. Several of the ingredients are antibacterial, anti-fungal and antimicrobial. There are no filler ingredients (like water, cheap oils or stabilizers) meaning it has 100% active ingredients (most products, even natural ones, are 2-6% active ingredients). This makes for a concentrated formula that packs a powerful punch. Just a little goes a long way, and as the oils penetrate the skin the beeswax makes a breathable barrier so it stays put doing you skin good all day long.

Over the years we have had lots and lots of mamas report that they use our salve in all kinds of ways on their kids from newborn to grown such as: diaper rash, eczema, cradle cap, cuts and scrapes, bumps and rashes, and more. It also helps protect your hard working mom hands!

Whether you are an exclusive pumper or just ocassionally use your breast pump, we can all agree that pumping is a PAIN. BeauGen is a company created to help moms have a more positive, more comfortable breast-pumping experience.

They've created a soft and stretchy nipple cushion that adds significantly more comfort to each pumping session by creating a soft barrier between your skin and the hard plastic breast shield. The cushions will move and stretch with the nipple during pumping.

As new moms we tend to neglect our own self-care as our main focus becomes our newest addition(s).  Duo Diary allows you a space for self-care at a time when you are likely to neglect it, but also at a time when you need it the most.

A Duo Diary is a portable journal that allows you to monitor your postpartum health and wellness while you care for your new baby. Track all of your baby's feedings including breastfeeding, bottle, formula, and pumping; monitor behaviors, patterns, sleep, diapers, and more on one side. On the other side, care for yourself with a food journal; track water intake, sleep, and exercise, plus keep notes on how you are feeling mentally and physically postpartum.

Studies have shown that the act of writing down is important in helping us process information, something that doesn't happen as well without the physical act of writing. The notes space can be used in so many helpful ways- jot down behaviors or patterns your baby is displaying, discover food sensitivities much faster, jot down emotions or any physical pain or issues you are noticing in yourself, keep track of questions for the pediatrician or OB, leave instructions for a sitter - the possibilities are endless.

I’ve always had a weird relationship with makeup. In theory, I’m obsessed with its transformative properties and will tumble down a rabbit hole of makeup-related YouTube videos faster than you can say “smoky eye tutorial.” In practice, however, I don’t find myself wearing a lot of it on a regular basis. Partly because I hate the expectation that women need to wear makeup to look presentable (I think this whole #nomakeup movement is great) and, as a mom of two little kids that also works part-time, I just don’t have the desire to spend more than a few minutes staring into a mirror every day.

That said, I do my best to make those few minutes count. I’ve found that a bit of makeup can be a fun little pick-me- up when much of your life might not feel very glamorous and the long days (and nights!) of motherhood are showing on your face. So I’m always thrilled when I discover great products that maximize my simple beauty routine. Below are a few of my current favorites.

NYX Hi Definition Concealer

If I had to pick only one item of makeup to wear, it would be under eye concealer. Brightening up that area and covering up my ever present dark circles really seems to lighten up my whole face. I’ve been on a quest to find the perfect concealer for years now, which basically means I’ve spent a small fortune trying to look like I consistently get 8 hours of sleep at night. And although I’ve tried products that cost three times as much and others that are specially formulated for the under eye area, I keep coming back to this NYX concealer. The coverage is great, it’s creamy and blendable, and you can’t beat the price.

NARS Miniature Blush/Bronzer Set in Orgasm/Laguna

I’d been using the elf knockoff version of this set for a couple of weeks when I stopped into Sephora to compare the two, and in my opinion the NARS version is worth every penny of the price difference. There’s a reason that Orgasm blush is such a cult beauty product, since it is indeed that perfect peachy pink that makes your face look slightly flushed and dewy, and the accompanying Laguna bronzer subtly warms up your face without making it look dirty or orange. Both products are silky enough to blend right into your skin without making it look dry or powdery, and the sleek miniature packaging is great for saving space in your makeup bag. I use this kit for quick contouring with this brush:

Real Techniques Retractable Kabuki Brush

Real Techniques brushes are one of the best beauty bargains out there, and this one is a great multitasker. You can use it for powder, bronzer, or blush and I’ve found that it works perfectly for applying bronzer in the hollows of my cheekbones for subtle contouring. Since I tend to do my makeup on the go a lot and keep all my essentials in one bag, I also love that this brush is compact and has a cap to keep it from getting dirty.

All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray

It’s a real bummer when you take the time to apply makeup only to have it rub off or fade within a couple of hours. I was skeptical of this Urban Decay setting spray when it claimed to extend the life of your makeup by 16 hours, but after using it I can definitely tell a considerable difference. Even after a long day of two little kids pawing at my face, my makeup still looks fresh and polished.

Simple Cleansing Water, Micellar 6.7 oz

If there is one product on this list that has been a total game changer for me, it’s this. I have always been super lazy about skincare and have slept in my makeup more often than I care to admit. Most cleansers or makeup removers make my skin feel funky, and washing my face just feels like way too much of a production when I’m bone tired at night. Enter micellar water. You can read all about the science and benefits of this stuff here, but the short version is that it removes makeup and cleanses skin in one easy step with no rinsing required. It also has zero fragrance or residue and doesn’t dry out my skin. I’ve been using it for a year and am completely converted. (Note: this brand also sells pre-soaked micellar wipes, which are fine in a pinch but I really prefer using it out of the bottle with a cotton pad).

What are some of your beauty favorites?

If you asked me to name my newborn essentials, included among the list of standard baby items would be a subscription to an online streaming service like Netflix or Hulu. As draining as those first few weeks stuck at home nursing a newborn can be, they are also a perfect time to indulge in some major TV binge watching.

When my kids were born, part of what got me through those first exhausting weeks was the promise of a little “me time” in the form of catching up on some TV while I nursed. This usually happened during the late evening feeding when I was at my most worn out and, quite frankly, just tired of having a baby clamped to my chest.

I quickly discovered that in my postpartum state not just any TV white noise would fit the bill. What I wanted was something that didn’t require me to think too much (not the time for hard-hitting documentaries); was addicting but not too addicting (I wanted to look forward to watching it but not to the point of being distracted at other times of the day); and most of all, wasn’t too emotional or dramatic (postpartum hormones had me sobbing at random Target commercials, so you can only imagine the devastation that something like Game of Thrones would have caused).

If I were nursing a newborn right now, these would be my top Netflix picks (currently streaming as of February 2016):

 Gilmore Girls

This mother-daughter dramedy is charming, well-written, and just a pleasure to watch. I tuned in faithfully when it was on the air, and as luck would have it Netflix added all seven seasons one week after my daughter was born.  I spent many an evening listening to Lorelai and Rory exchange witty banter while cuddling with my new baby girl. I’m betting that my milk would still magically let down if I heard Carole King singing “Where you lead, I will follow….”

Parks and Recreation

Although I would argue that it doesn’t fully hit its stride until season 3, Parks and Rec is one of my all-time favorite sitcoms. Amy Poehler is at her best playing devoted civil servant Leslie Knope, and the supporting cast members are all hilarious.

The Great British Baking Show

A huge hit in the U.K., this baking competition is reality TV without the drama or intensity of the shows that air in the U.S. It really is just a bunch of nice British people baking amazing stuff in the beautiful English countryside (basically Xanax in TV form). And without exception everyone that I have recommended it to has loved it. Fair warning: if you’re like me and have the appetite of a teenage boy going through a growth spurt while you’re nursing, you might want to arm yourself with some snacks before sitting down to watch this parade of mouthwatering creations.

Hart of Dixie

This pick falls solidly in the guilty pleasure category, so watch it when you’re feeling particularly braindead or immune to cheesy dialogue and far-fetched plotlines. Rachel Bilson (remember her from The OC?) stars as Zoe Hart, a doctor from Manhattan that moves to the charming town of Bluebell, Alabama to take over a medical practice. Love triangles, catfights, and random shenanigans ensue.

Fixer Upper

I’m usually not a big HGTV fan, but I really enjoy this show. Hosts Chip and Joanna Gaines help their clients find a house in need of some TLC and proceed to transform it into something amazing. Again, reality TV without the drama. Unless maybe your husband decided to rip out your master bathroom when you were 39 weeks pregnant (a story for another time) and the thought of home renovations sends you into a fit of rage. Then maybe skip this one.
